About a third of the population of the western world will suffer, at least one time in their life, from hemorrhoids. Keeping regular and soft bowel movements is mandatory in all population.
There are different ways to treat hemorrhoids;
In the Outpatient Clinic:
The conservative treatment which include creams, suppositories, and foam.
The "semi - conservative" treatment which include; rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy, infra-red coagulation. Cryo therapy, and laser therapy
In the Operating room (under anesthesia):
The surgical treatment which include different surgeries with the possibility of specific complications like incontinence.
Recently developed procedure, which is done in the outpatient clinic, is called THD (Trans-anal, Hemorrhoidal arteries De-arterializations).
In this procedure, the blood supply to the hemorrhoids is disconnected, and during a 6 weeks period the hemorrhoids disappear.
Comparing to other methods of treatment there are:
No post treatment pains
No complications,
No need for hospitalization,
No need for general anesthesia.
The treatment takes about 30 minutes
It can be repeated if needed.
